Nnenna has studied at King's Fund between 2012 and 2013, then at The Open University in Education; e-learning between 2009 and 2013, then at University of London/Institute of Cancer Research in Mature T cell leukaemias between 2003 and 2007, then at University of Aberdeen in Medicine/Surgery between 1990 and 1995, then at St Augustine Girls High School between 1982 and 1989, then at Royal College of Pathologists London in Haematology, then at University of London/ London School of Hygeine and Tropical Medicine in Health Systems Management, then at Royal College of Physicians London in Medicine.

Nnenna worked for Open University in conjunction with NHS Leadership Academy and the Hay group as Associate Lecturer Mary Seacole Programme between Nov 2013 and May 2017.
