Matt has studied at The University of South Carolina in Theatre, Speech & Dance, then at The Upright Citizen's Brigade(NYC), The People's Improv Theatre(NYC), The Player's Workshop(Chicago) in Sketch Comedy Writing and Improvisation.

Matt worked for Freelance as Actor/Writer between Dec 1999 and Jan 2020, for Blue Man Group as Head of Props between May 2003 and Sep 2014, for The University of South Carolina as Special Assistant to the President between 1996 and 1998.
