Kathleen worked for American Bridge 21st Century as Chair between 2010 and May 2015, for Harvard Kennedy School of Government as Visiting Fellow between 2004 and 2004, for State of Maryland as Lieutenant Governor between 1995 and 2003, for U.S. Department of Justice as Deputy Assistant Attorney General between 1993 and 1994, for Maryland Service Student Alliance as Founder and Director between 1986 and 1993.
