Jyoti has studied at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in Electrical and Electronics Engineering between 1995 and 1997, then at Thadomal Shahani Engineering College in Biomedical/Medical Engineering between 1986 and 1990, then at Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Sloan School of Management.

Jyoti worked for SRG America as Head Sales between 2006 and 2010, for Thadomal Shahani Engineering College as Head Of Department between 1991 and 2001.
