Daphne has studied at Brandeis University, Heller - The Heller School for Social Policy and Management in Social Policy between 1988 and 1990, then at University of Oklahoma School of Social Work in Social Work between 1978 and 1980, then at University of New Orleans in Sociology between 1975 and 1976, then at University of Oklahoma in Social Work and Sociology between 1973 and 1975.

Daphne worked for UMBC Social Work Dept. as Asst. Professor between 1997 and 2004, for Domestic Violence intervention Services (DVIS), Tulsa, OK as Clinical Director between 1983 and 1988.
