Dan has studied at Cincinnati Christian University in Theology between 1989 and 1990, then at Mid-Atlantic Christian University in Theology/Theological Studies between 1972 and 1976.

Dan worked for Bachrach as Vice President of Retail Operations between 1991 and 2003, for Chapel Rock Christian Church as Youth Director between 1985 and 1990, for Christ in Youth, Inc. as Program Director between 1983 and 1985.
