Bob has studied at The Open University in Business Administration between 1988 and 1991, then at Hatfield Polytechnic in Structural Engineering between 1972 and 1976.

Bob worked for Professional Speaking Association as Fellow between 1999 and 2019, for Institution of Mechanical Engineers as Fellow between 1986 and 2017, for Milestone Management International Ltd as Owner & Speaking Coach between Jan 1995 and Dec 2009, for Mastermind Group St Albans as member between 2008 and 2009, for Toastmasters International as Distinguished Toastmaster between 1994 and 2009.
